John Simermeyer is a recent graduate of Cornell University College of Architecture Art and Planning. His area of study was city and regional planning with a focus on community and economic development and a concentration in Native American studies and government. Prior to his time at the BAIC John's professional experience includes the National Congress of American Indians in washington D.C., as well as time with the Ongweoweh Corporation, a Native American owned sustainable and environmentally conscience corporation located in upstate New York. John is a member of the Coharie Tribe of North Carolina and Navajo
