Dear Friend,
For the past 35 years, the Baltimore American Indian Center has highlighted and showcased the special history and culture of Maryland’s Indian community through its Annual Native American Festival, commonly known as the Powwow. This year’s Powwow is scheduled for July 17 through July 18, 2010, and will feature Native American food, a dance and drum competition with prizes, Native American arts and crafts vendors, face painting and cultural demonstrations. The Festival attracts thousands of individuals from the Central Maryland region and from throughout the country. Each year the festival draws as many as 5,000 people in attendance. In our 35 years we have impacted more than 500,000 individuals. Since the Festival has grown and expanded over the years, for the first time, it will be held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium.
Our event has been hailed as one of the top festivals in Baltimore City and the region. Sponsorship of this Festival will give you and/or your business the opportunity to reach the Greater Baltimore region and provide your company visibility. Your company will receive tremendous recognition through our publicity and mailings to people in the Central Maryland region and our promotional materials where your company’s name and logo will be prominently displayed. Our Web site will also provide your company with additional opportunities for exposure.
We wanted to inform you of the sponsorship opportunities that are available to your company in advance of the Festival. The following pages outline the many options that are available to help you gain visibility before an engaged and interested audience.
As you prepare your 2010 annual budgets, we hope you will consider these sponsorship opportunities afforded by the Baltimore American Indian Center. This is a significant year for us in that we are celebrating our 36th year of hosting the Powwow. We firmly believe that your financial support of this event will result in a significant return on your investment.
If you have any questions or are interested in any of these sponsorship opportunities, please do not hesitate to contact me at 410.675.3535 or by e-mail at jovina@live.com.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Jovina Chavis
